Privacy Policy
Effective June 30, 2026
Mimi lets people create, use, and share custom mini apps. This policy explains what information Mimi collects, why it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, username, signature preferences, account credentials, and privacy settings.
- Content you provide: prompts, generated mini apps, app data, messages, reactions, community activity, support requests, and content you choose to share or publish.
- Files and media: images, camera selections, CSV files, PDFs, voice recordings, and other attachments you intentionally upload.
- Notifications: alert rules, delivery preferences, notification history, device platform, and push-notification tokens.
- Optional device information: location used for a location-aware feature and microphone or speech input used for dictation or voice messages, only when you invoke those features and grant permission.
- Service information: login, build, sharing, and feature activity; timestamps; network and device information; and diagnostic or security logs needed to operate and protect Mimi.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, generate and run mini apps, synchronize app data, enable sharing and community features, deliver notifications, answer support requests, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information, run third-party advertising, or use Mimi data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
AI processing
Mimi sends prompts and relevant attachments or mini-app context to AI model providers, including Anthropic and Google, when needed to generate, evolve, interpret, or operate a mini app or notification. Do not submit information you do not want processed for that purpose. Public or shared content may also be processed to provide the feature requested by you or another authorized participant.
Service providers and sharing
We disclose information only as needed to operate Mimi, comply with law, protect users, or complete an action you request. Providers may include:
- Anthropic and Google for AI processing and selected data services;
- Amazon Web Services for private file storage;
- Google Firebase for push-notification delivery;
- Resend for transactional email; and
- hosting, security, and external information providers used by a mini app.
These providers process information under their own contractual and privacy obligations. We require providers handling personal information for Mimi to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
Sharing with other users
Your username and signature may be shown to people you interact with. Messages, reactions, and activity are shown according to the relevant community and app settings. Content you mark public can be viewed by anyone with access to Mimi or its public link. Review visibility controls before publishing or sharing.
Permissions and choices
You can decline camera, photo, microphone, speech, location, and notification permissions in device settings. Some requested features will not work without their relevant permission. Mimi also provides controls for profile visibility, community blocking, notification channels, alert status, and whether your activity appears to others.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information and user content while your account is active and as needed to provide Mimi. You can delete individual content where controls are available or permanently delete your account from User Profile. Account deletion removes your account and associated content from active systems. Limited records may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, or where retention is legally required, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport, restricted storage, authenticated access, and private file storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Mimi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Mimi changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
